The Oscar-winning Hollywood star Brad Pitt is reportedly secretly talking to his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. This comes after Pitt’s bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie, who he left Aniston for, was finally finalized following nearly a decade of legal battles.

Though they split in 2016, Pitt and Jolie’s divorce was not finalized until December of 2024. To this day, the two of them are still battling it out in court over their French vineyard Château Miraval.

Prior to that, Pitt, 62, was married to Aniston, 57, from 2000 until 2005. Their split came amidst rampant rumors that Pitt had been cheating on her with Jolie, 51, after meeting her on the set of their movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Indeed, Pitt immediately began dating Jolie and welcomed six children with her during their time together.

Pitt And Aniston Reunite

Pitt and Aniston reunited backstage at the SAG Awards in January of 2020. At the time, they had not been photographed together in over a decade. Now, sources are claiming that after this reunion, Pitt and Aniston began slowly slipping back into each other’s lives.

An insider told Daily Mail that during this reunion at the SAG Awards, “they both had new numbers, so they swapped and said they’d be in touch. Brad was the first one to text.”

A second source claimed that Pitt soon started popping up on Aniston’s Apple TV series The Morning Show set at least once a week for a “standing lunch date” in Aniston’s trailer. According to this insider, Pitt’s visits became a regular part of the show’s second season.

“During season 2 of The Morning Show, Brad was coming to set and having lunch with Jen in her trailer. He would arrive and get dropped directly at her trailer for a private lunch just the two of them and then he would leave once filming for Jen resumed,” the source explained. “Brad would come to set at least once a week. Some crew knew but had no idea who or how many. It was a standing lunch date and he stuck to it.”

Pitt And Aniston’s ‘Platonic’ Friendship

Before long, Pitt and Aniston were meeting up other places as well.

“During this time, he was also hanging out with her at her house,” the first insider stated. “Jen and Brad got together a number of times. Mainly at her house. They couldn’t be seen out in public together.

However, this source made sure to add that there was nothing romantic about these reunions. Instead, Pitt and Aniston are strictly friends.

“A platonic relationship grew. Nothing more,” the insider insisted. “They’d gone through so much both privately and publicly that a romantic relationship would never be on the cards.”

A third source was quick to agree, saying, “For Brad, there was no hidden agenda or expectation of rekindling their romance. More than anything, Brad missed having her as a trusted friend.”

“He was quickly reminded of just how important Jennifer had been in his life,” this insider stated. “He genuinely enjoyed reconnecting with her, spending time together away from the spotlight and just being friends, having private lunches was just really nice.”

“She was, and continues to be, one of the few people he feels he can trust completely,” the third source added. “They still keep in touch from time to time. Getting back together with her and talking again was one of the best decisions that he has ever made.”

Pitt And Aniston Date Other People

Both Pitt and Aniston are currently in other relationships. Pitt has been dating the jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, 33, for nearly four years.

“Brad told Jen after a few months of dating her he knew it was the real thing,” the first source said of Pitt’s relationship. “Jen was happy for him.”

Meanwhile, Aniston has been dating the hypnotist Jim Curtis, 50, for the past year. Th0ugh they are each dating other people, Pitt and Aniston have not disappeared from one another’s lives.

“They still text from time to time but that’s where their relationship stands,” the first insider concluded. “She likes that they’ve made peace.”

Pitt’s divorce from Jolie has been one of the messiest of any split in Hollywood history. Given how many celebrity divorces have taken bitter turns over the years, that’s saying a lot!

It seems that Pitt’s split from Aniston could not be more different from that, as it appears to be as amicable as possible. Given everything that Pitt and Aniston have been through over the years, we’re glad that they’ve found a way to come together again as friends.
